After IU’s Sigma Nu fraternity closure in October, Indiana University and IU’s Interfraternity Council unanimously decided Monday, Nov. 27th, to suspend all fraternity-associated events until mid-spring.   The sometimes-fatal exploits of Greek life, frequently related to hazing or alcohol use, have plagued the university for years and officials now see a need for dramatic efforts to make IU Greek life “safer and stronger.”
