Any native of Northwest Indiana that’s dined in one of the numerous Region Greek restaurants knows the tangy taste of lemon rice soup. A simple mixture of egg, chicken broth, lemon and rice (and typically coupled with a heaping basket of fluffy dinner rolls and crackers), it often outsells tomato and chicken noodle soup.  Jedi’s Garden, a Greek diner on Route 30 in Dyer, ladles out 20 gallons of the tart, creamy soup every day.
