People sometimes need money in a hurry, and charities are no different. The Ball Brothers Foundation, which donates roughly $7 million a year to counties in eastern Indiana, earmarked a portion of those funds for Rapid Grants. Charities can apply for up to $5,000 in funding and will receive their answer (and a check) within a week. In 2017, the foundation has dispersed roughly $100,000 to Muncie charities and organizations.
“Though these grants are small compared to many others we award throughout the year, these grants often have an outsized impact,” said Jud Fisher, Ball Brothers Foundation president.
