From a distance, wind turbines seem silent and majestic, with blades as long as sperm whales cutting neatly through the air. But we all know that wind turbines aren’t silent, and their loudest influence seems to be in the volleying debate among industrialists, environmental scientists, legislators and the public, educated and uneducated alike.
For each of these five “truths” on wind turbine energy, four substantive resources are included as support. The sources are academic or governmental studies (or articles based on those studies) not “studies” conducted by special interest groups on either end of the spectrum. These sources draw their conclusions solely on unbiased, observed data.
