There’s something satisfying about navigating a journey with nothing more than a map and a compass.
It’s a feeling that, sadly, GPS has entirely overshadowed over the last ten years. This Indiana map collection is for my fellow map junkies who appreciate the time, effort, and skill needed to create such detailed and practical artwork.
Most of these artists had no calculators, no satellites or airplanes, no laser rulers—nothing more than surveying and navigation skills. These maps might be obsolete as guides but remain important as works of both art and history. Enjoy!
